When we were choosing the footstones from the Ohio regiment to rub, Kristi and I randomly chose 2. Kristi's just so happened to be George Nixon, who, we found out, to be President Nixon's great grandfather. It made me quite surprised to know that a randomly selected footstone could be a realitive of anybody, not just future government officials, but maybe even any one of us. ~Sadie 

The battlefields size was overwhelming and WAY bigger then i expected. The fact that brother fiught Against brother faught against each other on that ground and were even burried there at somepoint during the war honestly sent chills down my spin. Overall i had a great time with my friends and learning more on this great battle ~Hailey
